Washington County has become known for its aesthetically-pleasing outdoor shopping centers---Orenco Station and Tanasbourne in Hillsboro, and Beaverton's Cedar Hills Crossing, just to name a few---and in a matter of weeks, we can add one more to the list. Gramor Development has been at work creating Progress Ridge TownSquare, a new 20-acre center between the neighborhoods of Bull Mountain in Tigard and Murray Hill in Beaverton, and for many tenants the grand opening is just around the corner.

Nearly from day one, New Seasons, the local specialty organic and health food grocer, and Cinetopia movie theater have been onboard to anchor the shopping center. With New Seasons set for a September 14th grand opening (Cinetopia is already operating), a plethora of smaller retailers have now signed on to lease space in Progress Ridge as well, hoping to time their debuts to coincide with that of New Seasons.

Included among those businesses are the Fuddruckers hamburger chain; eco-friendly children's shop Posh Baby; Cornell Urgent Care; eyebrow style-bar Brow Betty; and self-serve frozen yogurt shop Menchie's.

While the variety of businesses is meant to be a primary draw for area residents, the look and feel of the shopping center has been a big focus as well. The architecture has been designed to not only appeal to the eye, but to be pedestrian-friendly for those who want to spend the day at Progress Ridge. Best of all, a small lake provides a beautiful backdrop to the shopping center, ensuring a natural environment.
